An important partnership with the Renault F1’s Team has been signed for the supply of the safety equipments for the Formula 1 single-seaters, and the technical gear for the drivers and the mechanics.

The agreement, for an initial duration of three years, includes in particular the installation of the new and very light OMP safety belts, which have been designed by the company’s research centre. They have been realized with the utilization of special materials such as the titanium, aluminium and vanadium alloy, as well as steel and a mixture of magnesium and ergal, in order to make the product extremely light and performing, so that it provides a substantial help for the mechanical engineers, who are always working on the research of every possible solution to lighten the total weight of the single-seater.

The partnership with the Renault F1’s Team also includes the supply of all the technical equipment (fire-retardant suits, shoes, underwear, gloves) for the official drivers and the mechanics.

The OMP’s fire-retardant suits are well known for their quality and their high technology; they are directly realized by the factory of Ronco Scrivia, combining highly technological machinery with an artisan cast. They have been chosen and worn for years by Michael Schumacher, 7 times Formula 1’s World Champion, and by the likes of other champions of the calibre of Rubens Barrichello, Eddie Irvine, Mika Hakkinen, Nigel Mansell, Ayrton Senna, Tommi Makinen, Carlos Sainz and Petter Solberg.
